I'm not sure if these two steps were necessary but I'm fairly certain they were because I tested my reader on my wife's laptop and it worked perfectly right away and that was how my reader and CAC were configured on her machine. Before uninstalling, I also uninstalled my CAC (the actual card) in device manager and reinstalled it, and updated my SCR3310 reader's drivers. This was the last step in solving my problem. I went to control panel>programs>uninstall a program and uninstalled ActivID. NOTE: This solution is specific to Windows 10.įor me, I had ActivID installed on my laptop, but Windows 10 doesn't require ActivID as it has its own CAC reading software. ![]() ![]() As one user said it might be the PIV requirements, which are new, however that was not part of my solution. ![]() I solved this problem for myself last night.
